Question: Anyone doctors or health related people,,,PLEASE HELP!?
I have been having neck pain so had an MRI today and it showed cancer in a spinal bone (suspicious but the dr thinks it is) and he told me this is an indication that the cancer has spread from another area to the bone!. I was shocked so didnt ask many questions at first but have been trying to get info online!. He suggested that it could be thyroid, breast or lung cancer!. I never smoked but I would like to know an honest answer!. Is there anything that can be done!? Am I really in a bad shape!? I always thought when cancer gets to the bone it is too late!. Please help me!.!.!.!.!.!.I am seeing a doctor tomorrow to get checked out but want to know how much time I have!. ThanksWww@Answer-Health@Com

I would not go to the NCI web site just yet though!.
There are so many things this could be that you would not know where to look!. Malignancy in bone could be a primary bone tumor, multiple myeloma, metastatic disease from cancers of the lung, breast, kidney, thyroid, melanoma and many others!.
But you do not know what this is without a biopsy!.
A cancer diagnosis requires microscopic tissue examination!.

There are many people who have had cancer in the bone who have survived cancer !. !. so what you have heard is a rumor!. As for your own situation it is extremely strange that your doctor would casually mention cancer without sitting down with you with a detailed game plan!. In general a doctor will run all tests and take a biopsy to be certain, the cancer will be staged, and a treatment plan based on your individual circumstance will be offered to you!. No one here can answer any of your questions other than in very general terms !. !.it doesn't matter if you ever smoked or not, anyone can get cancer!. Cancer in general terms is treatable!. Until your cancer is typed, staged and tumor graded !. !. no one knows what will happen or what to suggest !. !. and that is an honest answer!. You will need to ask your doctor all these questions and than make a decision what to do!. In the meantime coming on YA is of little help!. Go to the National Cancer Institute website which offesr information, resources, and treatment options for all cancer types!.
