Question: My granda has lung cancer !? :( No treatment options!.!?
My Granda has been diagnosed with lung cancer and asbestos in both lungs, he also has a tumour in his stomach!. The doctor has told him there is nothing he can do for him and there is no treatment that would really help!. Its really quite annoying because the doctor said it was only a small tumour that was benign and now today he is practically saying he is going to die very soon!. They said they`ll be able to give a certain time, how long he has to live on monday! Why cant they tell that just now!? :( ! Can anyone explain the stages of lung cancer, i know theres different types!.!.!. well if you arent receiving treatment how bad does it get!?! :( Www@Answer-Health@Com

It really depends how far its gone!. I'm sorry to hear this hun - sometimes best is quicker!. Asbestos isn't a very nice diease and I think it can cause the cancer also- really horrible!. He'll get what is called palative care!. It consists of pain relief, comfort, psycological help and support, and hopefully allowing people to be at peace and comfortable before they die!. Some go into Hospice, which also helps!. I had a patient come in once for a cough and it was discovered she was covered in cancer all through her lungs, it was horrible but she came to accept it and died peacefully!. She probably died in about 6 months!. She was very short of breath, and in some pain, but she wasn't affected mentally and still managed to smile for us!. She actually didn't seem to be on much pain when I saw her in hospital (she was having chest x-rays pretty much every 2 days) so I guess thats part of the control!. All us radiographers loved her haha!. Obviously I havent seen your Grandads x-rays so I don't know, but listen to the docs- they always do their best!. I know next to nothing about stomach tumours cos we don't x-ray for it so I can't really help there, but again, they'll make him as comfortable as possible!. I'm really sorry to hear this :(!. I know how horrible it is when one of your family has cancer!. My Grampa had virtually the same thing - a tumour in his stomach and lung cancer!. The doctors didn't catch my Grampa's cancer early as he went about a month being ill with the doctors basically baffled about what was wrong, and finally got admitted to hospital when he was diagnosed!. Because of his tumour, he wasn't eating and so lost a lot of weight!. However, he died in hospital of pneumonia rather than the cancer :'(!. The life expectancy is different for every patient, depending on the type of cancer and how far along it is!. There is a link here which tells you about lung cancer and asbestos:

The 2 year survival rate for primary bronchial (lung) cancer is about 10%!. The average is less than 6 months!. Sorry!. Mesothelioma (asbestos induced) is just as bad!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

listen to me!.!.there is very important!. u have to search out alternative cancer treatments!. not conventional!.!.those r the dr!.'s that have already said there is no hope!. seek a naturalpthic dr!. in your area or even if you have to go far!. there could be hope!.!.i personally know a naturalpathic dr in tampa, fl who is excellant!.!.Dr!. Donald Monus!. you can google him even call him for help (dont know where you live) email me for his number!. read articles online about alternative treatments!! get books!.!.but you need to act fast! the things you read will sound crazy if you are not around alternative medicine, conventional dr's are not taught these techniques, most dont believe in them, even if they did they couldnt reccommend you seek them out bc they could loose their liscense!. you grandpa may not believe in it either!.!.but do what you can to convence him!! he has nothing else to loose at this point but his life! i know my grandma had cancer!.!.she passed!.!.unfortunatly she didnt believe and decided to do nothing!.!.it was horrible seeing her suffer!.!.your grand dad will suffer!. please please please find a alternative--reputable one in your area!. alos, remember they donr accept insurance so you will pay a bit for the visit!.!.but i would never put a price on life!. the dr in tampa charges 500!.00 for the visit!.!.but it is worth it!. i know others that he has cured of their cancer!!!!! i am also in process of convencing a family friend to seek alternative treatment for his lung cancer--from asbestos too! i have purchased books for him to read about it!.!.it has many successes!.!.im not sure fot your grandpa as his has progressed!. its only going to keep spreading!.!.he needs to clean up his entire body so it can function and fight off the cancer!! bu doing a total body detox/clense!. they also have other ways!.!.!.please believe!. since my grandma passed i have tried to teach ppl there are other options and you dont have to die from cancer!! this dr is also my best friends dad i have known him for15 yrs!.!.what he does is a miracle!. i wouldnt lie to you about this!. i feel your pain and you want to help him!.!.so learn about other options! alos, sugar feeds cancer cells!.!.!.w out sugar cancer cant survive!.!.so make sure he cuts out sugar of all kinds from his diet!.!.read lables (not sure if he is eating or using a feeding tube!?) high fructose corn syrup!.!.look online for other names for sugar!! highly important!. let me know if you have any questions! i will be away from my computer for a few days!.!.good luckWww@Answer-Health@Com

My stepdad was diagnosed with small-cell lung cancer and died 6 months after diagnosis!. Unfortunately my stepdads cancer had spread to his brain so towards the end he started to have fits and personality changes etc which wasn't nice!.
That's not to say this will happen to your grandad though, everyone is different!. Sometimes cancer grows and spreads more slowly in older people and they will end up dying of old age rather than from their cancer!.
