Hi!. It's impossible to answer this, because it could be caused by so many things, most of them not related to the cancer or the chemo!. (I say this because breast cancer rarely spreads to the stomach - bones, lungs and liver are the more common sites)!.

When you say no one knows why this is happening, I assume her docs have ruled out some of the more obvious things!. If you don't think they're taking your concerns seriously, be a bit more assertive about it!. There's a reason for this, and they're the ones being paid to figure it out!

In the meantime, be alert to any other symptoms, like jaundice or bone pain!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

She needs to go back to her doctor for a definitive diagnosis and to make sure that she has not had a relapse of the cancer!. It may be the result of her treatment or this may have absolutely nothing to do with cancer or the treatment and be a whole separate issue!. No one here knows, so she will need to see her oncologist first to make sure this is not cancer !. !. than if all is clear she should might want to see a gastroenterologist who could diagnose the condition and offer treatment!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'm sorry to hear about your mother!. My mom is 52 and has stage 4 breast cancer with mets to her bones, liver, adrenal glands, brain!. She was diagnosed 3 years ago!.

Chemo can do all kinds of crazy things to your body!. It is a little odd that she would just now start getting sick!. She needs to get to the doctor soon to have tests done!. The cancer could have come back, spread, or she could just have the flu but it's better to get checked out and be safe!. Just, make sure the decision is your mothers!. I'm only 24 and can't imagine losing my mother and I"ve watched her suffer for three years it's horrible!. It's so easy for us to tell them to try all these different thigns and not give up but there comes a time when the patient can't do it anymore!. The patient needs to decide when to stop treatments or what treatments to do!. When they decide to stop it's not giving up!. You need to be there and support your mother no matter what she decides!. Good Luck to you and feel free to contact me if you ever need someone to talk to!Www@Answer-Health@Com

The cancer could have spread or she could have developed a new condition, but only doctors and tests could confirm it!.
Not the homespun theories you might get here!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
