HIV exposure at a barber shop??!
Question: HIV exposure at a barber shop!?!?
I went to the barber last week and as he was trimming my beard and neck he used a razor which he got from the table!. I didnt see it cleaned and I dont know if it is new!. Can I get HIV!? I dont know if I had open wounds on my head face or neck and I dont know if he cut me or not (maybe he cut me and I didnt notice)!. Am I at risk for HIV !?!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

No you are not at risk!. I mean I guess I would not say it is impossible, but it is EXTREMELY unlikely!. HIV can not live outside the body for that long and needs to be in body fluid!. Also, just one virus will not do it, so there would have needed to be a lot of virus on the blade!. I would worry more about a bacterial skin infection than HIV!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
All razors and combs are placed in a solution between customers to kill any bacteria!. Same thing at a dentist office!. Quit worrying!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
