Answers:
Sudden, severe pain that gets worse in waves!. Stones may cause intense pain in the back, side, abdomen, groin, or genitals!. People who have had a kidney stone often describe the pain as "the worst pain I've ever had!."
Feeling sick to your stomach,nausea and vomiting!.
Blood in the urine (hematuria), which can occur either with stones that stay in the kidney or with those that travel through the ureters!.
Frequent and painful urination, which may occur when the stone is in the ureter or after the stone has left the bladder and is in the urethra!. Painful urination may occur when a urinary tract infection is also present!.
Some men compare it to childbirth when it passes!.The average time it takes a kidney stone to pass is one to three weeks and most of the time the stone passes on its on by the 4th week!. If the stone is too large to pass they do this procedure called lithotripsy where they burst the stones up into smaller fragments so they can pass!.

If you think you have one you need to drink as much fluid as possible to get the stone to pass!. Try drinking two glasses of water at least every hour!. You may also need some pain medication!. They say not to drink grapefruit juice because it could make the situation worse!.

when the stone/s remain in the kidney, there are not symptoms per se, it's when they start moving that trouble arrises, then you can have severe and sudden pain anywhere from the kidney all the way to the bladder!. The pain is usually inconstant, coming and going but with increasing severity as it moves from the kidney, down the uretur to the bladder!. Obviously the pain will be associated with which ever side the kidney occurs!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
