I had a shower as usual this afternoon and i then realized that the towel i used had been used 5 hours earlier by my wife who has had a very severe flu type virus for the past three days am i at risk from catching it!? Www@Answer-Health@Com

According to an article I read, it depends on the particular virus!. They can live anywhere from a few seconds to a few days!. They can live longer on a harder surface like a counter top or something than they can say on something made of a porous material like a couch or a shirt!. You are at riskk of catching the flu because you live in the same house with your wife!.
