Hi,
PPS is the after effects of having had polio when you were young!. When you have polio it kills of the neurons in your spine and brain!. When you get better the body has built new neurons (they send the messages to the body to make them work)!. 10 to 40 years after polio these newly built neurons start weakening or dying off, and the messages start failing to be sent to the muscles (limbs and other body parts) and a person starts becoming weak again!. I will post how doctors diagnose PPS (from the Centers for Disease Control {CDC})!. The only known help for PPS is rest and possibly mild exercise (depending on what your body will tolerate)!.
I run and International Post Polio Support Organization (IPPSO) and will give you our website so you can read and learn about PPS!. We have a doctors list, articles by doctors telling you how to handle PPS and a bulletin board you or grandma can join to learn more about PPS and meet others who have it!. Yes one should see a doctor familiar with PPS!.

If you or grandma would like to join our organization we would welcome you and try to guide you as best we can!.

This is a turfy, first of all you do not mention how old you are or why do you think you have PPS!. You also do not mention where you live or have lived at any time during your life!.
I would seek out the help of your general practitioner and mention to him/her what your concerns are!.
PPS is also sometimes confused with other problems such as Guillain_barre syndrome!. PPS can be confused with MS as well as other illness of the neuromuscular system!. Find out what you are really dealing with and then along with your professional specialists you can make a treatment plan!. Good luck to youWww@Answer-Health@Com
