Has anyone else had measles as an adult?!
Question: Has anyone else had measles as an adult!?
I found out today that this is what I am currently suffering with, and I have been told that it is far worse to have as an adult than to have it as a childhood disease!. I certainly haven't any energy for anything!.

Jack, I was very surprised to find out I had the measles when I was in my mid twenties!. I had measles as a child, Didn't think I could get them again!. I was miserable!. There is no treatment, you just have to ride it out!. The doctor did advise me to stay away from pregnant women!. Being exposed to measles in the early stage of pregnancy can cause birth defects!.
I advise taking vitamins, pain medication for the pain and fever if you have one!. Also drink lots of fluids and get plenty of rest!. Hope you feel better soon!.

I've never had measles Jack, but when I was 12 my father got them and he was 51 years old at the time!. He was extremely sick - out of work two weeks, bedridden and ran a very high fever!. It got to the point he was almost hospitalized!. From what his doctor told him then, measles is far harder on an adult body than it is a child's one!.
Rest up Jack, you'll need it and keep your strength by eating healthy even though you won't feel like eating!.

i had chicken pox when i was around 25!.
got it from my sister's kids!.
it was the worse ever, they were over it within 2 days!. i had dangerously high fever (41!.5c, whatever that is in F !.!.!. X1!.8 + 32) and those spots were like itchy zits that dont go so well with hirsuteness!.
i do hope you get better soon!. believe me, it will go away!.!.!.

you scare me jack!. i had the measles when i was a kid!. it almost killed me then!. i remember vividly hallucinating, ultra high fevers, itchy like crazy!. go to a doctor, stay there!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
