i wonder after the shots will i still have allergies or will i have them a lot weaker thanxWww@Answer-Health@Com

I had the shots for many years as a kid, for about 5 years!. They really helped with many of my allergies and the reactions stayed minimal or non existant for a long time!.
However, since allergies change the shots can wear off over time!. I'm in my 30s now, and the shots I had as a kid have faded!. Many of my allergies changed, some went away, but most worsened!. The allergist couldn't believe I'd had a long series of shots considering my test reactions!.
Now I'm going for shots again as an adult!. Let me say that they suck, since I tend to have bad reactions to them!. They have improved my allergies, though, or I'd never be having them done!. To me they are worth it, so I'm willing to put up with the pain, cost, and time!. I'm also probably looking at having them for the rest of my days in order to manage the severity of my reactions :(

depends on how allergic you are and how effective the meds are on just you
for some they may mean they can live as if no allergy, for others it means they just need less medication (but still need them)
oh and depend if your talking the shots the person above me is refering too, or the medicational shots ment to serve as a long term depot (instead of tabelets who are small time depot), the one i am thinking of is the medicational one, which you can take for pollen, and take before the season start, in hope that you may not need to take daily dosage of medication throughout pollen seasonWww@Answer-Health@Com

It depends on the severity of your allergies!.!.!.!.the shots were hell for me, I was about 10 and my arm swelled up every time!. I was so sick with allergies there really was no choice!. The shots made my allergies managable, by the end of highschool a Zyrtec was all I needed!.

I haven't had shots in a long time, but what was described to me is, as you take the shots over time ( mine were once a week) you slow gain a resistance to the specific allergens they are treating, and eventually your symptoms should decrease substantially!. Good Luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
