Weird, oval shaped, red mark on the neck? Present for over a month.?!

I have a small oval shaped red mark on my neck!. I don't know where it came from!. The only thing I can trace it back to is that I came home with it or woke up with it - I don't remember, it was a month or two ago!. I wanted to believe it was from my shirt and that the neckline may have irritated that part of my neck but I doubt it!. At first, it was kind of brown and looked a bit like a scab!. It was covered in dry, cracked skin and so I would apply lotion over it!. Occasionally it would be itchy so I would scratch it and eventually the dry skin on it started to peel!. Thus scratching it (the peeling skin) off, it revealed a red mark (which is what I have now)!. I thought it was nothing but it's been on my neck for over a month!. Any ideas!?Www@Answer-Health@Com
