Everyone's blood sugar spikes immediately after eating!. It's just that it spikes higher in diabetics than non diabetics!. 250 is high, but it corrected itself to be within normal limits within the two hour parameter that medical professionals use to base treatments on, so you are okay for right now!. I would be expecting my doctor to be altering my treatment plan in the not too distant future, though!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
That is exactly why we are told to check at the 90 minute mark or the 120 minute mark after eating or post prandial!.
As expensive as testing strips are, we needn't be wasting them on whimsy tests!. At about an average today of $1!.25 per strip, is it really necessary to know how high the spike went!? I don't think so!. I just want to know that it came back to normal 90 minutes after I eat!.

thats a high spike but it did come down!.!.!.!.i think docs would want it back to 110 before 2 hours tho!.!.!.!.but thats what diabetic is!.!.our BS spikes and stays up higher than a non diabeticWww@Answer-Health@Com
