In a normal checkup at the doctor, they take a small blood sample!.
Do they test for diabetes when taking that sample!? Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
not usually!. the doc or their nurse check boxes on a page that tells the lab which tests to run on your sample!. sometimes blood glucose is checked!. if it's high, then further testing is indicated!.

i've been type one for over thirty years!. a lot of "information" that is intended for diabetics is nonsense!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Sort of!. In a standard blood test, they will check to see what your glucose level is!. If its over around 100, it could be indicative that a person is a diabetic, but a higher then normal glucose level could mean other things!. It could be high if someone just drank a mountain dew before they took the test!. If it was elevated, they would most likely have the person come back in for a fasting glucose test!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

A blood sugar level two times above 180 is a diagnosis!. Usually if they do a blood test they will check the blood sugars!. If it is high your Dr will test you again to make sure!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

pammie, thats not correct!.
FASTING blood sugar >126 2 separate times is a diagnosis of diabetes!.
