Who should decide if life support systems of terminally ill patients can be disc!

The patient should always have a living trust which includes a medical power or attorney!. Normally they also have a DNR which is Do not Resuscitate!. The hospital should always have that on file, incase they are brought there for medical reasons!.

I would check with the Hospice group since they usually assist with completing these documents and go over all details with the patient\family\caregiver!.

If not, there will be huge problems, and why not just get it done so the family\loved ones can spend the last minutes with the person in peace!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

well hopefully the patient & his family discussed the issue before he becomes too ill to make the decision for himself!. if they didn't discuss it then his wife or whoever his power of attorney is!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
