Yep, you can

I have esophagael cancer (fancy name for throat cancer lol) and i got the nurse to shave my hair off ( which is past my waist)!. Then got it made into a wig!.

Its very exy, but it was worth it for me!. I know it sounds dumb, but my hair means a lot to me!.

Hair loss from chemotherapy is generally a short term, temporary condition (chemo treatment depends on type and stage of cancer how long the patient will take it)!. Most people do not bother to go through the process of cutting enough of their own hair to make an expensive wig!. By the time the wig was finished you would be done with chemotherapy and your own hair growing back!.

What you need to know is that creating a wig takes more than just one hair donation of 12 inches !. !. it takes four or five donations and not all hair is suitable to create a wig!. Most patients who are diagnosed would not have the time to grow their hair out repeatedly to get enough hair to create a wig!. (once diagnosed a patient may only have a few days or weeks before starting chemo so there is 'no time' to grow any hair out)!.

But the second thing you need to know is that no all chemotherapy causes hair loss (some turn it white instead)!. And that chemotherapy is generally a short term treatment !. !. once the chemo stops the hair grows back!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

im sure you could!.!.!.!.it might be pretty expensive though!. i would look up some wig shops where you live and ask what they can do!. and if they cant then ask them if they know where you could so something like that!. when my mom had cancer, she bought a wig and they also seemed to be pretty compassionate so im sure they would be more then willing to help!. good luck and take careWww@Answer-Health@Com

I don't see why not!. They make wigs from hair donations for cancer patients!. It may be expensive, but its worth looking in to!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
