About HPV testing. Help?!
Question: About HPV testing!. Help!?
I had some vaginal swabs done at doctors earlier this year!.
I had a swab done for chlamydia
And a HVS (high vaginal swab) done!. I know that this tested for ghonnorea, yeast infection
!.But would it have tested for HPV as well!? I am not sure how they test for that and the doctor does nopt feel that I need anymore tests doen
I have had a yellowish discharge, does does not smell or itch!. No bleeding at all!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

during my yearly pap i have HPV testing!. Your best bet is to ask the doctor when he/she is preparing the swab!. HPV testing also involves a blood test!.
I'm guessing that you went for the tests you mentioned because of vaginal itching or discomfort!? Those symptoms could be caused by anything!. I suggest calling your doctor and speaking to him/her and/or the assistant or nurse about your tests, and asking for more information!. Remember it's YOUR body!.

You need to get the hpv test tell your doctor that you want it done! He has to do it for you! There are different types of hpv there is a high risk and a low risk!. the high risk is acssociated with genital warts and the low risk is acssociated with cervical cancer! In april I was diagnosed with the low risk type and my doctor said that she believes the body will work it out!. And I went back to the doctor last week and it was completly gone! :) But there was no discharge or anything! But just to be safe ask you Doctor for the Hpv test and go to a gynocologist to figure out what is going on with your discharge! Good luck :)Www@Answer-Health@Com
unless they told you that it would do, then I doubt it would have tested for hpv!. Hpv is a virus and there is no "cure" for it!.!.!.!.the most they can do is treat the warts when they appear!. I have the virus and have only got the warts once, they gave me cream and they dissappeared quite quickly!. I also had to go for one session of getting them frozen off and although it didnt hurt, it was a bit embarrasing!. Now, I will NEVER have sex without a condom!.!.!.I was SO mad with the person who knew they had them, but slept with me anyway!.!.!.!.they are only infectious when they actually appear!.!.!.!.!.also, the HPV virus attacks when the bodys immune system is run down and weak!.!.!.!.to stop this from happening, you have to eat fruit and veg and get enough sleep!. When mine attacked, it was 5 yr ago and I had been doing shifts and hardly sleeping or eating!.!.!.!.so dont do that!! Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
