What are apples related to?!

Question: What are apples related to!?
I have an allergy to Apples, and my parents think that I can eat nectarines!. So, my question is, which fruits are related to apples!?
I took an allergy test many years ago, but I can't remember what the results were for fruit(except apples), since they told me I was allergic to carrots, which don't even grow on trees like apples! I don't know what to believe!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
You should be able to eat nectarines if you can eat pears!. All these fruits belong to the family Rosaceae (the rose family), but apples and pears share a subfamily, Maloideae!. Nectarines belong to a different subfamily, Amygdaloideae (or Prunoideae)!.

It might be good to be retested, if you've avoided apples all these years!. It's possible that you're no longer allergic!

If you are still allergic, I'd try not to eat pears more than every four days, to preserve your tolerance for them!.

Since we're on the subject, carrots are part of the Umbelliferae, or parsley, family!. They're related to celery and parsnips, along with anise, caraway, coriander (cilantro), cumin, dill, fennel, and, of course, parsley!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
