Ringworm is not actually a "worm", but instead a fungal infection called "tinea"!. The areas on the body (tinea corpus) do in fact look like slightly raised, red rings, but again it is a wives-tale that the skin disorder is actually a worm beneath the skin!. You can treat it by applying any over the counter antifungal medication, like Lotromin or Tinactin!. By the way, it's the same fungus that causes jock itch and athletes foot!. Hope this helps!. It looks like a circle shape its raised up a little, and red!. Don't be alarmed but get it treated as soon as possible!. Look on google images and type in ringworm to see different pictures of it to see if its similar to yours!. Then go to a doctor and if it ends up to be ringworm they give you a cream to put on it and in a period of ten days or less its gone!.

It looks like dry skin in the shape of a circle!. usually the area turns red and or white around it!. if it is an animal then the area will most likely lose hair!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
