Usually, depending on what they are testing for, they may need more than one vial!. Each vial holds about a table spoon and a half of blood!. The amount can range anywhere from one vial to eight!. They generally do not take enough to affect you and if you are afraid of the needle, just ask for a butterfly needle!. These needles are very small and are often used on babies and small children!.
