Would this doctor bother you?!

Question: Would this doctor bother you!?
My daughter has been having allergic reactions to bug bites since she was 2 yrs old!. First it was a black fly bite next to her eye that swelled up so big, she couldn't see and it stayed black and blue for a week!. We were afraid to take her out of the house for fear of getting accosted by someone who thought we beat her! Then over the past few years the reactions got lighter until this summer!. She has been bit numerous times EVEN with heavy duty bug spray on and the reactions have been BAD! Within 5 minutes, there are hives and within a couple hours, the bite has swollen to the size of an orange, it's flaming hot, red, and hard as a rock!. Benadryl works extremely slow and anti-itch cremes do nothing!. A whole lot of waiting, normally it takes weeks for the swelling and bruising to go away!.
I finally convinced the hospital walk-in care to squeeze us in the other day when she got bit on the face again and couldnt wear her glasses cause her face was so swollen and it hurt!. He took one look at her and said "She just got bit in the wrong spot" and proceeded to tell me that she was fine and to take benadryl!.
So I pointed out the other bites that were surrounded in hives and swollen as well and explained to him about the other bites she's had in the past and reactions!. He seemed to grudgingly listen and then said "well, i suppose that its possible she could have anaphylaxis, if it was just a fluke, it wouldn't have been happening repeatedly and over her entire body!. And the fact that the reactions are escalating isnt normal!. Normally children ourgrow their childhood allergies by age 5 or 6!. The chances that she'll have worse reactions each time she gets stung or bit are pretty good"!.
He put her on Prednisilone which has been amazing!.!.!.worked a miracle!!!
I asked him to prescribe her an EpiPen because she hasn't been stung by a hornet or bee yet, but if it ever happens, I want to be prepared if something happens!.
Why wasn't he more concerned!? He would have just let us go on our merry way if I hadn't pestered him!. What's wrong with this guy!? Maybe I should just stop expecting doctors to care about patients!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'm not sure whether they don't really care and just in it for the money, or whether they don't know what they're doing!.

It took me two years to get my doctor to help me with eczema/dermatitis!. Two years of constant itching on my legs and bleeding!. I was told it was insect bites!. I said "ive not been anywhere to get bitten like that, and it wouldn't be to that extent anyway"!. I knew there was something wrong, and ended up to my own research and diagnosis!. Then I eventually told them what I thought I had and was finally prescribed the relevant creams that solved the problem!.

Honestly they get paid a very tidy sum but many of them I'm sure don't know what they're doing!. It seems you only get help when you find out yourself what the problem is, and then tell them!. Doing their job for them!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Change Doctors!. its best!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Don't trust the walk-ins!.!.!.They are busy and overloaded!. I was on a trampoline and landed wrong!. It hurt horribly, I know somethign was broken!. I went to the walk-in doctor!.!.!.on two different occassions!. I was sent away on both and given a muscle relaxer!. I scheduled a regular doctor and got x-rays!.!.!.and a bone was indeed compressed to another!.

So!.!.!.:) thats my experienceWww@Answer-Health@Com

The doctor is from a walk in clinic!.!.!.!. those doctors deal with alot more then regular doctors, people over reacting / emergency situations where they need to drop everything!.

I would go to your daughters regular doctor for a follow up!. Also maybe see an allergist!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

yes it is time to stop expecting doctors to be more than human!. unfortunately we all feel the doctor should know or be interested to find out!. this is not the case only an illusion we believe until we get an illness that isn't in the basic list!

I spent my life with 'allergies' to varying things!. I found regular massage and herbal treatments enable my body to fight whatever imbalance there was without poisoning it more with chemicals!. she, like me, maybe she is chemically sensitive and is at maximum tolerance and then the addition of the toxin from a bite send the body into a spin!.

try a more alkaline diet for her!. good luck and don't let doctors tell you nothing wrong when you Know there is :)

not natural but coal tar shampoo (we use Ionil T) is great for stings !.!. takes the pain away and stops the toxin (must be alkaline!? don't know !.!. but it works great)!. bracken fern is what traditional Aboriginals used!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

you need to see another dr!. you need to find one that is concerened about your child!. if the first one wasn't on to the second or the third or on and on until you find one that is!. you know what is wrong with her so!.!.!. knowledge is power the more you have the better off you are!. my knowledge comes from taking care of my mother for 28 yrs!. when she got to where no dr wanted to help i found another!. i would not settle for no from anyone!. If I were you I would take her to a pediatrician!. Their specialty is children and pregnant women, and my experience with most pediatricians is supreme understanding!. If possible you should visit the same doctor!.

If it was a walk in clinic at a hospital I can understand!. They probably get TONS of people coming in with colds thinking they're dying!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
