How much B17 should a person have?!

Question: How much B17 should a person have!?
I'm recently a vegan and have been looking up alternative medicines, i never knew i was into it and used to think it was a hoax, but in my mind i always believed the same theory that they believe (way to go tv to make me think a certain way)!.

anyway, i was reading that B17 aka Laetrile, can and should be used as preventative medicine!. It is found in the seeds of various foods!.

Does anyone know how many seeds i'm suppose to eat!? I know it comes in bamboo shoots, plum seeds, and cherries, and those are the 3 that i will tend to eat most, so i'm wondering how many of those i should eat a day in order to reach the "recommended amount"!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Why doesn't your sites mention the optimal amount!?!. Take as much as you want!. If it has been truly tested, then your sites should have an answer!. No one can stop you from taking it!.

" Like for treatments they removed everyone to failed to complete the treatment from the statistics (basically they died)!. "

Well DUH, how do you do a complete study when people have stopped doing a treatment!. They did not stop counting the participants because they died, they had to choose between treatment and quality of life!. Something that you are not aware of, it is sad!.

None at all!.

There is no such vitamin as B17; it was invented to give credibility and respectability to Laetrile,a commercial preparation of apricot kernels!.

Unlike other 'alternative' treatments laetrile has actually been tested!. It has been found to be ineffective against cancer!.

It is also dangerous as it contains cyanide!.

Alternative in this context is just another word for unproven; conventional medicine has been rigorously tested and proven in clinical trials!. No alternative medicine has been tested and proven in this way!. If it had, it would no longer be alternative medicine, it would just be medicine!.

Veganism and belief in alternative medicine don't necessarily go together - I have been a vegan for many years!.

Mind you, I was inclined towards alternative medicine until I was diagnosed with cancer and found through research that there was no proof of alternatives successfully treating any case of cancer, ever, anywhere

Edit - Sorry, posted twice - accidently used someone else's account first time!.

Believe me I've researched this subject!.

And some people are making big money fromit - scamming desperate people and profiting from their misery!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

b17 is poison!. No vitamin exists by the name of b17 !. !.it is a made up term for cyanide which is found in laetrile/amygdalin!.

No scientific or documented evidence exists that the product is of any benefit to preventing or treating cancer!. None!. If evidence existed than it could be easily proven, but none exists to support any of your comments!.

You will probably find more support for your ideas about laetrile over on the Alternative Health section of Yahoo Answers!. There are all kinds of people who will agree with every word you say!. Most people on this section are after evidence based medicine with documented scientific evidence!.

Even if laetrile showed any type of efficacy at all it would be a waste of time unless you have a very slow growing cancer and have all the time in the world!. Cancer is a nasty and fast growing, invasive disease that will not allow you to make a mistake!. At least traditional medicine has evidence of what will or will not work !. !. and gives you a chance!. Laetrile has no track record or positive literature despite being around for years !. !. why waste time on something like that if you have cancer!.
If it worked it wouldn't be so difficult to prove!. Most clinical trials allow a patient 4-6 weeks and measure the progress or lack of progress using a CT, PET, or MRI !. !. you can actually see if the drugs are working or not!. All any one who thinks laetrile works needs to do is set up a similar clinical trial with real human beings and measure every 4-6 weeks whether there is any response by the tumors!. All trials in the past have failed to produce any evidence that this is a worthwhile treatment!.

It doesn't work!. If it worked, than it would have a proven track record in peer reviewed journals that anyone could read and that anyone could use and get the same results!.

There isn't any mystery about cancer!. The truth is that treatments whether they are traditional, complementary, or alternative either work or they don't work on cancer!. If you cannot prove within a few months that a treatment is working on the majority of patients !. !. than what good is it!.

Good luck to you whatever your decision!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
