There are currently 6 types of viral hepatitis, A-G, as well as contracting hepatitis from direct contact with someone who's infected, you can also catch it from:
blood transfusions, this is rare, as blood is screened after donation;
infected needles used in tattoos and piercings; and
infected syringes!.
There are some forms of hepatitis which aren't caused by being infected by someone else, such as autoimmune hepatitis, which is caused when the immune system attacks the liver and toxic hepatitis, which is caused by exposure to toxins such as drugs, mushrooms etc!.

However, type A and most likely a few of the lesser known types are carried from hand to mouth!. Generally, these are less harmful!.

There are different types of Hepatitis!. I think Hepatitis B can even be contracted by certain types of foods or dishes that were not properly sanitized!. Hepatitis C is the one to really watch out for though!. It is as deadly as AIDS and it attacks your liver!. It can be contracted through shared needle use, medical or tattoo equipment that is reused, or through sexual intercourse!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
