Answers:
Your doctor will normally talk to you about being tested for HIV at least once during your pregnancy!. If not, you should specifically ask for an HIV test!. Don't assume it is done automatically, as it requires a consent form!.
Women with HIV can be given medications to reduce the risk of transmission of HIV to the baby!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

My friends mom has 3 children ages 19, 17 and 12 she says they tested her with her children at least the last child or 2!. But that was during the HIV/AIDS epidemic!. One thing about health care is different states and hospital systems have different testing criteria and regulations for diseases- genetic, bacterial, or viral!. If you are at all worried ask your doctor to test you, or just ask your doctor if that's included in testing!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You are never automatically tested for HIV!. Although it is current practice to test for HIV in pregnant women, a doctor MUST get permission from the woman first!. If she declines the test is not performed, a doctor will usually discuss the advantages of the testing in order to promote its benefit with a client!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, whenever you get your blood tested for anything!.
They always bring up any problems with your blood!. And AIDS affects your blood!.
They would of course check for AIDS && HIV because they don't want it to harm/effect the baby!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
