Puss is coming out of the back of my ear, is it infected?!
Question: Puss is coming out of the back of my ear, is it infected!?
I got my ear pierced 2 weeks ago!. i'm stretching it and they said to wait 2 weeks to go up to the next size!. so i did that!. now when i clean my ear i notice on the cotton ball that there is yellow puss!. so i'm wondering is it infected!? it's not red or swollen!. so could you please help me out here!. i don't know what to do!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Your ear is infected, but if its not red and swollen, the infection is just on the surface!. There's a good chance you can get rid of the infection overnight if you take out the plug when you get home in the evening and then clean the hole and apply a generous amount of iodine, and repeat this at bed time!. You also need to disinfect the plug by soaking it in bleach solution or boiling it!. You might need to do this mor than one night, but you should be able to get rid fo the infection fairly easily!.
