Question: Taking pepto bismol and i had black feces!. bad!?
hey ive had two-a-days for football and ive been taking pepto bismol so i dont get sick when i run!. but lately ive been having black feces and the bottle says stop using it if i have it!. i havent taken any since my problem and i never took more than i was supposed to!. should i be concerned!? am i sick or something!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

No, I think its meant to do that!. Bismuth salts are really only used in america and their claim to fame is that they kill the bacteria causing ulcers and indigestion, Helicobacter!. But, while we still have them in europe ( DeNol) we don't really use them because we found a lot of people got Bismuth Toxicity!. Seems to be popular in USA though, but often the Americans tend to use stuff they invented exclusively!.

No you will be fine, just lay off the Pepto!. Keep an eye on your feces if they continue to be black for more than a week see a doctor you could be bleeding which will cause your feces to turn black!. Good luck!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
Is your feces still black!? This is a benign side effect but if it has continued days after stopping you need to see your dr!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
