Question: Will there ever be a cure for diabetes!?
i have diabetes and i am 11 years old will there ever be a cure for it!?!?!? i know god gave me diabetes cause he might want me there a little earlier than the average person but i really don't like having a diet and not to mention i have to take a pill because my thyroid has failed!. so there you have it Www@Answer-Health@Com

I actually don't have much hope!. They have been "on the verge" of finding a cure for 20 years!.

In the early 1900's and earlier almost everyone just died of diabetes because there was no treatment!. In 1922 injectable insulin from animals was discovered, which allowed diabetics to live much longer but still not that long!. In 1978 artifical insulin was discovered, allowing diabetics to live an almost normal life!. In the past two decades, many different insluin plans, such as the pump and lantus, have become successful enough to allow diabetics to lower their A1C greatly and live a completely normal life!. Research continues to search for a cure, and researchers get better and better at it everyday!. There is no doubt in my mind that there will be a cure in your lifetime - hopefully someday soon! Just take care of yourself as best as possible until then!. I'm guessing your a type 1 diabetic if you're 11, so that's pretty much what I was focusing on in my info above!. Not too much different for type 2 though!. Anyways, hang in there!. A cure is on its way!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I sure know it's not really fun having diabetes, I've had it all my life (over 40 years) and need to take insulin!.
I'm guessing that you have Type 2 because you mentioned you take a pill, not insulin!.
It is possible to reverse Type 2 diabetes already, "cure" it through learning about nutrition and other factors such as how the body needs and operates with physical activity!.
The answers to diabetes won't be found in your regular doctor's office because their goal is to manage the condition, not free you from it!.
You can start finding answers and solutions in the field of alternative health care, (that means other ways to take care of your health besides drugs and surgery) which many people are unfamiliar with!.

Actually, there are promising potential cures in the research now, including transplanted islets cells (which produce insulin - I believe there are some people who have already undergone this proceedure, and surprisingly, the cells are implanted on the liver rather than the pancreas), either donated or grown from your own stem cells for type 1, and the search for the precise mechanism responsible for insulin resistance (for which a medication can be developed) for type 2!. Other possible cures are also being studied!. The american diabetes association, the magazines diabetes forecast and diabetes elf management, as well as websites for various medical schools, have been publishing various papers and articles about it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
First of all, you're too young to be on this site! (13 or older) Second, God did not give you diabetes!.!.!.God doesn't work like that!.!.!.it's Mother Nature, your genetics and possibly a virus mixed in there!. Third, just because you have diabetes and a thyroid condition doesn't mean you have to settle for a short life!. Typically a diabetic's life span is only 10-15 years less than a non-diabetic person, and that's still a long, long time if you take care of yourself!. If you're vigilant about it and take it seriously, you'll live into your 70's, maybe even 80's, which is a good long life!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Type 2 diabetes can be prevented from healthy eating and exercise!. Type 1 is like a cancer form and it's very hard to find a permanent cure!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I am type 1 diabetic and have thyroid problems too!. We can always hope and dream for a cure but until then you really need to follow your diet and treatment plan!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
