Question: Can an Echogardiogram see Inside the heart!?!?!?
I am concerned about an atrial septal defect that is inside of the heart, and my doctor wants to take an echogardiogram!. Will that be able to see what is inside as opposed to the outside of the heart!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes an echo cardiogram will see the blood flow in the valves and arteries, you can also listen to the blood flowing through!. They will be able to see the atrium's!. Don't be worried about doing an echo cardiogram, I've seen a few get done before and its nothing to be afraid of!. In a addition to viewing, the inside of the heart!. blood flow in and out of valves!. As the other poster stated do watch your heart in action!. All this information will be recorded on a video for the Dr!. may view your heart!. The Echo should take about 45 mins!. to an hour!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
