Question: Could it be strep throat!?
ive had a fever for 2 days i can swallow but it is really painful i have white puss thingys on the side of my cheeks and my gums are all swollenWww@Answer-Health@Com

of course it could be, especially with a fever, however a fever is only a fever if you actually take your temperature!. You need to get your throat swabbed, and since its been two days a rapid strep is a good idea, you can do this by going to the dr or er, however a sore throat (rather its strep or not) is not a fun thing to sit in an er all night for, plus it takes up room that could be used for people who actually need to be there!. here is my best advice to you, call your physicians office that you normally use and leave a message for the on call dr or nurse, then they will call you back and tell them what you just told us, they can call in an order to the lab at the hospital nearest to you and you can go there and one of the phlebotomists or lab techs can swab your throat and tell you within five minutes if you have strep or not!. They will then call the dr emmediatly with the results and he can get you some antibiotics asap!. Now this may not be policy for all hospitals but it is pretty universal protocal so thats what i would do!. if it doesn't work find an after hours clinic and go there, if there are still no options from then on and you can't wait till monday head to the er!. good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
Only a throat culture can tell if it is strep or something else!. There are several things that can look like strep just by looking at it!. I suggest you see the doctor, you will most likely need antibiotics to clear up whatever it is you have!. Stay away from others until you have been on antibiotics for a few days and are no longer contagious!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
NOT STREP!. I've had strep before!. The first 2days the fever is around 102 plus and trust me, even swallowing water is excruciating!. I had an ice bath and my fever still could not break!. And with strep if u open your mouth wide enough and look at your tonsils, you'll see white cheese-like mounds on them!.
Please strep is very very contagious!. My Doc prescribed Z Pack!. A very powerful anti-biotic and just after the first 2 doses, the first thing that goes away is the high fever!.

sounds like you have it!. go to the doctor and they can give you ampicillian!. you take it 2 times a day!. you will feel better within a few days, but continue your dosage so it doesnt come back!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
that's what happen 2 me when l had strep all l wanted 2 do was sleep, l went 2 doc he said either strep or mono, ruled out mono, got some medicine and felt better in two days!.!.!.strep throat hurt like hell!.!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
