Pain In Back; Serious Problem?!

So, the other day I was crawling around on the floor with my brother's dog!. After I got up I noticed a pain in my low back near my leg!. I figured it would go away after some time!. It's been a week now and the persists!. Let me state that it's not very painful!. I just worry that it could be something serious!. I would hurt when I got up or sat down, and somewhat when I would walk!. Lately it's hurt less in my back and more around the side of my thy, but this is still very close to where the pain began!. I don't think it has to do with my kidney because I don't have any of the symptoms pertaining to that!. It couldn't be cancer could it!? What should I do!?
