How long does it take for fair skin to get a sunburn?!

Question: How long does it take for fair skin to get a sunburn!?
Answers:
It depends on how fair you are, where you live, the time of day, what you're wearing, if you're wearing any sunscreen and if you're on any medication that sensitizes your skin!.

But, to answer your question in a general way, I happen to be so pale that I only wear makeup so people don't think I'm a ghost!. Yes, I look practically dead!. At high noon on a hot summer day, I will start to get red in about 15 minutes!. If I were to stay in the sun for an hour, I would have severe second degree burns!. Wearing sunscreen only affords me an additional 15 minutes out in direct sunlight!. So, even with sunscreen, I can't be in direct sunlight for longer than 1/2 hour at a time!. Now, if I wear a hat and hang out in the shade, then I'm fine!. If I apply sunblock every 15 minutes, I'm fine!.!.!. but that's a pain in the patooty!. If not in direct sunlight most of the time, I can get away with going to Disneyland and only have a slightly bad sunburn!.

Then again, most people aren't as transulcently pale as I am!.

WEAR SUNSCREEN EVERY SINGLE DAY!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Speaking as a blue-eyed fair skinned person, about half as long as a "normal" person!. If I'm going to be exposed to the mid-day sun for more than 10-15 minutes, I slather on the SPF 30 sunscreen!. Mind, it also depends on the UV forecast!. if it's the low-end of the Moderate area on the scale (4 or less), I generally don't bother!.

On the flip side, if it is going to be 8 or higher, I don't go out if I can avoid it!. I'd burn in about 45 minutes even with SPF 30 sunscreen!.

Good Luck!

PS: Please note that SPF 30 blocks on the order of 98% of all incoming UVA and/or UVB!. SPF 45 is less than 1% more effective!. Save yourself the extra money unless you have a serious sun allergy!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

not long, i am a redhead with very fair skin and even with 40 spf, after about 3 hours i am burnt really bad, and if your not wearing sunblock u can burn in about half an hour

It depends on the sun, the weather, if you are wearing sunscreen, if you are taking medications that make you sensitive to the sun!. Wear sunscreen when going out doors and keep an eye on the colour of your own skin and ask others to watch out for you as well!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
