Question: I may need to get an MRI to check for brain tumor!? I keep reading about the injection of a dye!. !?
Where is the dye injected and how is that determined!? I have read that it can be in the arm or groin!? If it is the latter can you be put to sleep prior to procedure!?!? To say I prefer the arm is the understatement of the century!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

hello i am an MRI technologist and we only give the contrast injection called gadolinium intravenously in the arm or hand (whichever vein is more palpable) we use a 22 gauge butterfly needle and it is very small and only pinches for a second!. the contrast will go to whatever body part you have having imaged, which in your case to r/o a brain tumor so it will go straight to your brain and we will take images prior to injection then 3 planes post contrast to see if there is any enhancement!. if it doesnt enhance that is a good thing (not cancerous) best of luck!. let me know if you need any more info!. as i know it can be a scary procedure for some,

very important to stay still, it will most likely go for 45 minutes!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I was having MRI's every 6 months after radiation for brain tumor, and the dye, (contrast), they use on me is called "gadolinium", and they inject it into my arm!. There are those in my support group that do take a bit of a sedative before the procedure, but I never do!. It depends on the individual!. You'll be fine, just get ready for a lot of noise!

It's generally just a small intravenous injection into your arm, really just given to highlight the area they are looking at!.Try not to worry about it too much!. I had a brain MRI last year, it really isn't that bad!. You can bring your own CD with you to play!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The dye is injected into your arm for MRI!. No problem!

They inject dye into groin for WADA testing- in order to test whether your speech and memory are in mostly left hemisphere or right (some people are 50/50- but that's pretty rare)!.

Best of luck to you in your search!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Oh, maybe, if you are dying your hair, the side effect would be that there's a chemical reaction which affected your head's blood circulation! But I hope this is not the one!.
Where are you from!? Are you using a laser already so as to help in the healing process!?
Take care and GOD BLESS!!!!!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com
