Swollen hand?
This morning I woke up with the part bellow my thumb of my left palm swollen. I don't know if I've been bitten by something even though it doesn't look bitten at all or if because the impact my hand made when I slammed my door shut for silence (wild barking dogs) caused the minor swelling. I do remember it hurting a little, but I was too sleepy to care.

You need to monitor the swelling. Do you have full movement of fingers and thumb? does it hurt when you move them? do you have bite mark? Has the swelling gone down by itself? Were you consuming alcohol last night, and might have been hit/ injured ??
All these questions need to be answered before deciding the severity of your condition. If the swelling does not decrease and you have difficulty in moving fingers/hand or feeling in fingers/hand, please see the doctor...
