Rash at the beach!?

Answers:

My younger son had the same problem....but it was with salt water. In short, after he got it, we used an antifungal spray and cream. When it happened the second and third time, we were severly confused because we paid attention and he said he didn't have the problem prior to getting in the ocean. The last time we ensured he washed BEFORE going into the water with soap so with the sweat in that area didn't allow "anything" to "stick" to his skin. We also brought a large spray bottle of water with us with fresh tap water and an extra gallon to re-fill the spray bottle for when he came out of the salt water. This tremendously reduced his discomfort and severe rash later.

This did help but we still needed the spray and cream afterwards. Less needed, but we still needed it all the same. We believe the ocean with the rains across America's beach waters might be carrying more "things" in it that wouldn't otherwise be a problem. All the rivers are running over their banks and as all know, they empty into oceans. The salt concentration was also higher then normal levels would have been without the rains and flooding.

Good Luck!
