Answers:
You need to go to another doctor!. I have Hypothyroidism, and when i was diagnosed my TSH was 4!.5!. I felt terrible!. I was tired, cold all the time, weak, and my hair was falling out!. I went to a Thyroid specialist and she said your TSH should be between 1 and 3!. It use to be 5, but they lowered it in 2003 because so many people had Hypothyroidism with numbers under 5!.0, and their doctors would ignore their symptoms!. To be properly diagnosed, please go to a Thyroid specialist, not a regular MD!. Don't wait too long, your symptoms will get worse if you do have it and go untreated!. Good luck, feel better soon :-)Www@Answer-Health@Com

A TSH below 5 is considered in the "normal" range, however I believe each person has their own set point where they feel their best!. I have been hypothyroid for a few years and I know I feel my best with a TSH below 2, so my doctors try to keep my there!. You may have to do a bit of doctor shopping to find a doctor willing to put you on a very low dose of synthroid!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
