How do I treat my ingrown hair?!

Question: How do I treat my ingrown hair!?
I have a lump on my groin which I had inquired about on Answers prior to seeing a doctor!. The lump did indeed turn out to be an ingrown hair, although the doctor only looked at it for a second!. She actually said it could be an ingrown hair on top of a swollen gland!.

I have had it now for around 3 weeks and it never bothered me previously!. It did not itch, burn, or sting!. Now, it is stinging somewhat, and to put a warm compress on it kind of stings!. I'm wondering if I could have been misdiagnosed!? Also, 3 weeks of this thing is driving me nuts!. How long does it take for it to go away!? It falls directly on my pantie line and I'm walking around all day long!. I'm sure it's probably irritated!. Is there anything else I can do to treat this at home!? Also, how long should I hold the compress on the ingrown hair and how many times and how often should I do that!?

Any help or advice would be great! This thing is driving me nuts!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Ingrown hairs can take a while!.

Keep using a warm compress a few times a day!. As well, you can take a warm Epsom Salt bath once a day (soak for about 20 minutes)!.

Eventually it will pop on it own!. When it does, do not squeeze at it!. Just leave it be to heal up!. It may puss out for a day or two (and again you can have an Epsom Salts bath)!.

Once its healed, dry exfoliate once a day (lightly) before a shower to prevent more!.

(To dry exfoliate, just use an exfoliating glove!.!.!. they come in a package of 2!. Just wear them and in a circular motion use them on your body!. Just do it lightly)!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
