Question: My SGOT and SGPT are high!?
My SGOT is 44 U/L and the normal values are between 10-30 U/L!.
My SGPT is 47 U/L and the normal values are again between 10-30 U/L!.
What does this mean!?

The SGOT and SGPT are liver function tests!. If you are sick it can raise the levels!. If you drank alcohol within 72 hours of your bloodtest, that can raise the levels also!. Your doctor will probably recheck the levels in a month or so depending on your symptoms!. I wouldn't worry about it, but I would make sure they are rechecked within the next couple of months!.
