Why does this happen when i eat fruit?
whenever i eat fruit (especialy bananas and apples) my throat itches really badly.... am i allergic to something in them???

Are you allergic to birch trees? If so, you could have oral allergy syndrome. There is something in raw fruits and veggies that is like the birch tree pollen. So, if you are allergic to birch tree pollen, you will have a local allergic reaction when you eat these things... Itchy and swollen mouth and throat. It doesn't happen with all fruits and veggies and I believe that other tree allergies can cause it too. Also.. if the food is cooked or canned, you won't have a reaction.
