If I have a high risk type....?!

Question:

If I have a high risk type....?

of HPV meaning I could get cancer...does that mean my boyfriend is at high risk also of getting cancer (even though it is rare in men)? I have done a lot of research on this since I've been diagnosed (3 weeks ago) so I know about HPV...but I am just asking. My pap came back as adnormal then they did the biopsy....I got my results back today from my biopsy and I have a high risk type of HPV but they don't know which kind yet (which strain).

I would love for y'alls help but I really need someone to answer this who knows the actual real answer...not by what you think the answer is (but like I said...all help is greatly appreciated).

Answers:

Persistent infection with a subset of about 13 so-called "high-risk" sexually transmitted HPVs, including types 16, 18, 31, 33, 35, 39, 45, 51, 52, 56, 58, 59, and 68 — different from the ones that cause warts — can lead to the development of cervical dyskaryosis, or precancerous lesions, which may in turn lead to cancer of the cervix among women, or in men, cancer of the penis aka penile cancer.

Wikipedia says he is at risk, but I'm not exactly an expert. Why not just call your doctor?
