Is Acutane worth the risk?!

Question: Is Acutane worth the risk!?
I know it pretty much gets everyone's skin super clear, but some of the risks and side effects are pretty extreme!. (& you need to take monthly blood tests!)

common side effects:

* crusting of skin
* difficulty in wearing contact lenses (may continue after treatment is stopped)
* dryness of eyes (may continue after treatment is stopped)
* dryness or itching of skin
* dryness of mouth or nose
* headache (mild)
* increased sensitivity of skin to sunlight
* peeling of skin on palms of hands or soles of feet
* stomach upset
* thinning of hair (may continue after treatment is stopped)
* unusual tiredness

that seems pretty extreme for a cosmetic drug!.
does anyone have any opinions!? if you have taken it, please tell me what side effects you did experience!. thank you :)

I do not suggest Accutane, my friend took it for 6 months it cleared his acne but he was hit hard by the side affects and after he stopped taking it his acne returned, I suggest you take b5 vitamin, look it up!. Also if you don't want to do that then I suggest you use acne free, my brother used it, it's like proactiv but you can buy it at walmart and cvs and places like that for about 20 bucks!. You are guaranteed results in as little as 3 days, good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well I know my mom took it once in her twenties and she said it worked great and her skin was absolutely clear for 20 years!. Then when she hit 40 she broke out really bad and she took Accutane again, she said the side effects aren't as bad as most people say they are!. Now she's 49 and has a few spots here and there, but for the most part her face is clear!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
