Is there something I can eat/drink or something I can rub on my ankles that will repel fleas?

We have fleas in our home occasionally - it's an apartment and the grounds are swarmed by flea-invested rabbits and geese - and they come in through the screen door (we're guessing). We're pet free, and I'm the only one getting bitten - I know that fleas are sometimes attracted to a certain blood type, or whatever, sometimes. Is ther anything I can do to repel them instead of attract them? My feet and ankles look horrible and feel horrible!!!! Help! Please!

It might even be mosquito bites. I know that Avon makes a product called Skin-So-Soft that repels mosquitos...they hate the smell. It might work for fleas, too, but I don't know that for a fact.

I don't know if biting insects prefer specific blood types, but I do know they prefer certain chemicals/pH combinations of some people, they are drawn to diabetics, and they like sweet smelling perfumes and lotions. They also prefer female blood. Go figure.
