I had cervical cancer and I too did not have any insurance, And I was where you are at the same age!. Go to any hospital give them your records!. Any tell them you are separated from your husband!.!.!!!!! Go to the HOSPITAL!. Your cancer is 99!.99 percent curable!!! There is no Medicaid that covers you!. So dont bother with filling out those forms you will be turned down!. They dont see your cancer as a life treating condition!. This is what I was told!. The county hospitals have the BEST cancer specialist, and DOCTORS!!! Take it from someone who knows from being in the exact same shoes you are wearing!. I had never been admitted in to a hospital until I had my hysterectomy!. And have them take everything out!. I made a misstake by telling them if the ovaries look good dont take them!. Wrong Wrong thing to do!. Have them take them too!. I've had three other cancer scares because of them!.!. Dont wait do as I said!. Tell them you are not living with the hubby, and get it taken care of asap!. You will qualify for the county to take care of the bill!. Go to an urgent care part of the hospital!. Bring your records with you!. Beside you get to stay in the best part of any hospital The baby ward!. And mothers get the best of everything!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

No, the insurance will not cover a preexisting condition!. Your state should have a program for people who either don't qualify for insurance somehow or who have preexisting conditions that wll not be covered by group insurance!. In Colorado it's called "cover colorado" but all states have something like that!.

This link should help you get started - it's how I found out about the colorado one!.

It may cost a little more than is normal - mine is like $260 per month but it will cover anything you have to have done!. (it does have deductibles, etc!.)

Then once you get that going, go to your local cancer centers and ask about seeing a social worker there - most of the time it's free for cancer patients and they can help you apply for financial help!.

Contact a social worker from your local health dept!. They are able to help you obtain insurance when it is absolutley needed!. Also, you can go to a local Planned Parenthood!. Just like any other clinic, they have OB/GYN on staff, and are able to give PAP smears, STD checks, ect at a very looooww reduced rate or perhaps even free!. They also will be able to provide you with the appropriate contacts for those who help the uninsured!. Most hospitals have their own version of Financial Aid!. Its based on your income and you must not carry any type of insurance!. The hospital will have you speak to a financial counselor and either set up a reduced payment plan for you, or will set you up with a charity organization that will pay the bill completly!. You will need to contact your local hospital and see what their guidelines are!. By no means you not having insurance should stop you from having the surgery!. You just have to check with the hospital!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
