Can someone with Ulcers...?

Can lemon juice negatively affect someone with ulcers (ulcerative colitis), and if not what can?

My Brother has it, and my dad keeps making lemon olive oil drink for him.
My 20 year old brother hates it and says it's causing him more pain.
My brother has liver problems, ulcers, and sickle cell anemia.
