Question: Cold wont go away!!!!!?

I went to the Dr last Wednesday (8/20) and he gave me Amoxicillin for strep throat and a sinus infection, plus maximum strength Mucinex for sinus blockage!. I feel worse than I did before I started on the antibiotic! Now he's saying that he can't get me in until next Wednesday and I don't want to wait 2 weeks to get the right treatment for this thing!. I feel like I have a 300lb man sitting on my chest, I cough with almost every deep breath that I take, and when I do cough, my head feels like my brain is smashing up against my skull and trying to break through, my ears both feel like they have ice picks in them and my throat is on fire!.

I have some serious kind of illness going on here!.!.!.!.I'm going to go to the ER saturday after I finish my amoxicillin just incase I need an entire bottle of it to cure me!.

Are there any good home remedies that you know of!? Zicam, Mucinex, Vicks Vapor Rub, cough drops!.!.!.etc!.!.!.whats good for things like this!?!!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

first, it could be worse than a cold!. like pnuemionia, or bronchitis!.

don't wait 2 weeks!. go to the ER and tell them what is going on and see a doctor there!.

You may have a bad allergy to the penicillan (amoxicillian)

To clear your chest, get a bowl of boiling water, put a towel over your head and lean over the bowl!. The warm steam will help you to breathe easier!.

And I suggest you take a load of vitamin C to help fight the infection!Www@Answer-Health@Com
