Can I drink alcohol with strep and on amoxicillin?

A couple friends of mine and I are planning on going to a golf outing this weekend. I found out monday I have strep throat and have been on amoxicillin since then. The outing is saturday. My throat no longer hurts and it's still not even Friday yet. Would I be ok to drink this weekend and not fall back into a terrible sore throat since by the time I start I will have five days of the medication in me? I feel normal now but am just afraid it will come back if i drink. I know it's ok to drink on amoxicillin but I just don't wanna have another sore throat. Thanks!

I am takin a break but we have been plannin this weekend for like 2 months. Otherwise if it was just some random weekend i wouldnt have an issue with not drinking however it's been planned for a while.

You usually don't want to mix antibiotics for 24-48 hours after your last dose. Either don't drink, or maybe ease off on the medicine if you have to. As for the alcohol, it may aggravate your throat, but probably not enough to the point where you would have a sore throat.
