hi

- normal salt can be substituted for sea salt - dissolve some in lukewarm water and use this to clean the area (do NOT use peroxide or alcohol - these are not designed for piercings!)
- make sure you don't play with the piercing, as this introduces dirt & germs
- the bump may be hypertrophic scarring - this can be caused by bad jewellery (so make sure you've got good-quality bars and you're not allergic to it), or bad placement - is the piercing too short or rubbing!?

if it's infected it'll be hot to touch and may be pussing!. if it's just healing, you'll get lymph (white-ish discharge, healthy sign!)

hope that helps :DWww@Answer-Health@Com

If is that bad, remove ring!. If you really don't want to do that, get a mild antiseptic from pharmacy, savlon or similar, dilute to very weak solution in warm water and bath 3 times day!. Try to resist temptation to put fingers near sore at other times!. Fingers have the most incredible range of germs!!!! Hope this helps!! If no better, see practice nurse!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Peroxide or even alcohol can help with that!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Just be careful not to sneeze then or you might make it worse ;pWww@Answer-Health@Com

Why not consult a local farmer!? Ask him what he does to avoid this problem in his cattle!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
