Scar therapy? Plz help!?!

Question: Scar therapy!? Plz help!!?
I have severe hypertrophic scars on my arms from self-injury years ago!. Is there any therapy for it!? How effective is dermabrasion on raised scars!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Laser therapy (possibly Fraxel) might help with skin texture, or dermabrasion (as you mentioned) might also help is can be very effective for scar reduction!. Nothing can make scarred skin look perfect again, but it can help for scars to blend in with surrounding skin and be much less noticeable!. Multiple treatments will likely be required!.

Dermabrasion is not the same as microdermabrasion, of course!. Dermabrasion is much more intensive!. You really need to see either a dermatologist or plastic surgeon with experience in the use of lasers and dermabrasion!. Just look in the yellow pages to find a dermatologist who offers a range of laser and dermatological procedures!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

I don't know but I have the same problem!.
I hope somebody can put in some useful input!
My scars are from years ago and are ridiculously noticable still!.

ok nobody else is answering so I guess I'll try to be more helpful!. I've heard from a few friends of mine in the medical profession that there really isn't much a person can do about raised scars!. There is no cream or technique to make it better!. The damage is done, and they will only fade a bit as time goes on!. However laser treatment is getting more common with the years!. I suggest looking into laser treatment!. But honestly I bet it will be expensive and if you are like me and have numerous scars, it won't be worth how many trips you will have to make and money you will have to spend!.

I'm trying to learn to be at peace my scars!. I understand that people judge me when they see them- but hey- I'ts MY past, you know!? Even though my ignorance is flaunted on my body every day I think about them less!.

Hope that helped at all!. :p
Good Luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
