(10ez points)..are the effects of red dark skin permanent from over exfoliating?!

Question: (10ez points)!.!.are the effects of red dark skin permanent from over exfoliating!?
Answers:
Dark red skin is generally an indication that the epidermis (or outer layer of skin) has been removed, and that the dermis (middle layer of skin) or hypodermis is exposed!.

If this is the case, the area is damaged, and you can expect *some* kind of scarring!. The degree and color of scarring depends on many factors (your personal genetic makeup among them)!.

Permanent!? As permanent as scars can be, yes!.

I strongly recommend visiting your family physician, and/or a dermatologist to look at it, and to recommend ways of reducing scarring!.

Best wishes!.

Probably not, no!. You have removed the superficial, protective outer layer of your skin!. Your skin should heal, *if* you allow it to!. This may be hyper-pigmentation scarring, which can last a great while, but it does eventually go away!. If it's due to over-exfoliation, you just have to wait and let time heal your skin!. (You can try using some antibiotic ointment at night before bed to prevent infection, which promotes further scar formation!.)

Once your skin has recovered from the over-exfoliation, you can try using hydroquinone (a light skin bleach) to lighten the skin -- but you can't use it as long as your skin is still irritated!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
