There's no such thing as a '"cure" for stuttering. Speech therapy focuses on managing the disorder by teaching strategies for increasing fluency. The include, but are not limited to, avoiding and working through blocks, shortening elongated sounds, and eliminating compensatory behaviors (such as eye-blinking and facial contortions). You can go to stutteringhelp.org for self-help materials, or investigate your local university to see if they have a speech clinic for student clinicians in speech pathology. These clinics typically have a sliding scale and the student therapists are very closely supervised by their professors.
