Can a human head live without a body if we use a machine to keep the blood flowi!

Question:

Can a human head live without a body if we use a machine to keep the blood flowing and oxygenated?

I mean all the head needs is oxygen and blood with nutrients to the brain right? The eyeballs and mouth and nose and ears should still work. So if the head was severed the person could still be alive headwise and see his body and talk back ...etc... Does anybody know of some head that was alive in a lab or something? Let's say someone has heart failure and sure to die.... we chop the head off so that he/she can still talk, think and be alive. Isn't this true? what do you think?

The nerve endings die? really i didn't know that. So what feeds the nerves when it is still attached to the body keeping them alive? Can't we feed the nerves the same way before and after cutting the body away. They are able to feed regular cells grown in a lab so why can't they feed nerve cells? I believe in the body cells feed each other, otherwise how will they stay alive? So can't we grow a bunch of the cells that feed nerve cells and use them to feed after removing the head?
