Bladder infection?

im taking medicine for it and know about cranberry juice, but is there any other food or drink that helps the infection go away faster?

for me there is really not a great way to prevent it.....i was born with spina bifida and i catheterize.....so its kinda unavoidable, i have to live with it.

It sounds like you have it about under control. Cranberry juice and water are the best things. They are low in sugar and drinking large quanities makes you pee more and helps the medicine get through your body faster to help clear the infection. Watch for lower back pain though. This is a sign of a kidney infection. Even though you are on meds, some bacteria can be resistant and will spread to the kidneys. Don't be alarmed though, I'm sure your doctor has sent out a urine culture to make sure the meds you got will take care of the problem. You should be over it in no time!
