Mono can linger for months and months, leaving you feel tired and washed out!. My advice is to take thing real easy for the next few months, you will need to conserve your engery!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Mono can take days to months to get the syptoms relieved!. It causes all the symptoms you have stated as well as sore throat!. You need to take rest, and watch out that your fever doesnt exceed 101!.5 which could be a infection that needs to be treated with antibiotics!. It can affect your spleen so if your tummy ache becomes very painful you will need to contact your doctor quickly!. Also avoid sports that could cause you to tear your liver or spleen since these organs are subject to swelling Theres not much you can do to make it go away faster, just treating symptoms , rest and drink your fluids!. Good luck And avoid transfering your saliva from person to person , all eating and drinking utensils should not be shared!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Do you have other symptoms - namely a sore throat and enlarged lymph nodes!?

If you DO have mono, it's important not to share drinks/food, kiss, or exchange saliva in any way with other people!. It is highly contagious!. Try to avoid using public drinking fountains as well!.

From you symptoms, it seems like you could have just a fever/flu like illness and not mononucleosis!.

I would try to see a doctor or nurse to be sure!.

Mono can last from 1 to many weeks!.

The usual treatment for mono is REST!. It is caused by a virus and anti-bacterial antibiotics will not help!.

The most common complication is dehydration, so make sure you are in taking adequate amounts of fluid!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I got mono is 7th grade from kids all passing around sodas and stuff!. Im not sure how long it lasted, but it was definatlely more than couple months!. Its a serious thing, have you gone to the doc or are you just speculating!? I lost weight because I was throwing up constantly, I even was taking a lot of time off school and doing work at home (with teachers concent) after i wasnt contagious anymore because it makes you really weak and tired! I also had some pretty discusting flem that was literally like florescent green and would just fall out of my nose during class (really embarassing) this is not a joke! I was severly screwed up for like probably 5 months on and off!. As soon as i felt better and would over do it, i would end up back in the hospital!. Take care of yourself! Drink lots of water, take your vitamins and stop sharing your drinks!Www@Answer-Health@Com
